DEP Board Attends Interview Session with Dr. Ibram X Kendi
On Feb. 23 the DEP Board had the honor of attending an interview session with Boston University Professor, NYT Bestselling Author, Nat'l Book Award Winner and Director of the Center for Antiracist Research, Dr. Ibram X Kendi.
We were so grounded in listening to Dr. Kendi's expertise in the field of antiracism, and grateful to know that the antiracism center is there to support our work as we help The Burbank Unified School District to fully realize its district antiracism statement.
When asked what people could do to support the center, and antiracism more broadly, Dr. Kendi said, "Find the organizations and nonprofits in your community who are doing the work of antiracism, and see how you can support them."
We are excited for our ongoing relationship with the Center for Antiracist Research, and future membership after the public launch of the Center’s American Antiracist Society.
