February and March Launches Peer-to-Peer Read-Alouds at Providencia & Disney Elementary Schools
In February, during the Black History Month launch of Destiny's Peer-to-Peer reading program, we reached 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students with meaningful representation and community connection.

Organizational Support for SB 830
Senator Anthony Portantino's bill SB830 would change the LCFF (local control funding formula) for public schools and make it reliant on enrollment, not attendance. California is currently one of only seven states that decide funding based on this model and it isn't providing our schools with the funding we desperately need.
